Construction: Temporary Sidewalk Closure
Starting Tuesday: The corner of 39th and Jewell (on the corner of our school fence/property) will be closed to pedestrians for about two weeks. They are working on the driveway entrance from Jewell Road, making it a larger turn out. Pedestrians will need to cross at FW West exit/entrance gate and then walk on the south side of Jewell and cross at the crosswalk farther down the road. This is only temporary for approximately two weeks.
SBA Testing Concludes this Week
Students in 5th grade will conclude the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) this week. Students in grades 3-5 that were absent and missed a portion of the SBA will be able to make up assessments next week during the make up window. Thank you for your support during this SBA testing window. Please see the testing dates to mark your calendar. *Please note: there is always the possibility students may become ill, so make up opportunities will be provided. Please do not send your student to school when they are ill.
Testing times for 3rd Grade are 12:30-2:00 and 2:30-3:30
Testing times for 4th Grade are 11:00-12:00 and 12:45-2:30
Testing times for 5th Grade are 9:30-11:00 and 1:15-2:45
Please avoid testing interruptions by not picking up students during these times.
Here is a key to better understand the acronyms on our schedule:
- ELA - English Language Arts (reading and writing)
- CAT - Computer Adaptive Technology (online test)
- PT - Performance Test (providing reasoning and evidence for an answer)

LOST and not yet FOUND
As we approach the end of the year, we have many lost articles of clothing waiting to be reunited with their young owners. We have moved the Lost and Found racks to outside the entrance door for parents to visit. Please stop by the Lost and Found tables and racks if you are missing something!
