Early Dismissal Request

As we work together to ensure a smooth and productive end to the school day for all our students, we ask that you avoid picking up students within the last 30 minutes of the school day. If your child requires an early dismissal for an appointment, please ensure they are signed out before this 30-minute window begins.

Why this is important:

  • Minimizing Disruptions: The final half-hour is a critical time when teachers are providing last-minute instructions, students are organizing their materials, and the class is reflecting on the day's learning. Frequent interruptions during this time make it difficult for teachers to manage the transition and for students to stay focused.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support as we work to create and maintain smooth transitions for our students and staff.

 

Is Your Family Moving?

If your family will not be living in the Fernwood service area for the 2026-27 school year, please notify your current teacher and Mrs. Bickhaus (tbickhaus@nsd.org). Sharing this information in advance helps us to keep updated on our numbers for next year in relation to our goal of creating balanced classrooms. We believe balanced classrooms are the first step in setting all students up for success for the 2026-27 school year. We are sorry to see your family go and wish you the best in the future! Once a Panther, always a Panther - the Panther Pride is part of each one of us and cannot be forgotten!

BINGO 

Date: Friday, March 27th 

Time: 6pm - 9pm 

Location: Northcreek High School Commons 

 

This is a free community event where each attendee will receive 1 set of bingo cards and a marker. There will be food and additional bingo cards for sale. CASH ONLY. 

 

We will be celebrating the conclusion of our Raise Craze fundraiser at Bingo night and awarding the class and individual awards for the most Acts of Kindness and most money raised! 

 

Science Fair 

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming PTSA Science Fair on April 17th at 5:30pm- 7:30pm. Student registration forms are due by April 2nd. 

Update: any registrations beyond 4/2 will be added to the waitlist

Community Summer Resource Fair

This event will be focused on providing resources to our community in preparation for the summer ahead. We will be highlighting summer activities, camps, and support services for students and individuals with disabilities. 

Date: March 28, 2026 10 am to 2 pm
