At Fernwood, our students' safety is a top priority. We have recently installed speed bumps in our parking lot. Please remember to drive slowly when entering and exiting. We appreciate your cooperation and support in ensuring the safety of our students and staff.

In our new campus, there is a fire lane between the bus loop and our main parking lot. Please do not drive through here. Please enter our campus through the main parking lot entrance off of 39th Avenue.

From the Nurse

We are seeing an increase in sick children coming to school. Our goal is to keep Fernwood a safe and healthy place for kids to learn & grow. Please keep your child home when they are sick.

Learn about Northshore’s Levy Renewals and Bond

Please join us at the PTSA General Meeting on January 20th in the Fernwood Library at 7:00pm to learn about NSD's Levy Renewals and Bond on the February's Ballot.

In February, voters will consider three local funding measures that work together to support every Northshore student, modernize our schools, and strengthen classroom technology.

  • Proposition 1, the Educational Programs and Operations Levy renewal, supports day-to-day student learning
  • Proposition 2, the Capital Projects Bond, focuses on repairing and modernizing schools - prioritizing those most in need
  • And Proposition 3, the Technology Capital Levy renewal supports classroom technology and learning tools used every day

You can learn more about these measures at the following informational sessions:

PTSA INFORMATION

Glow Dance

Fernwood's annual Glow Dance is being held at the North Creek High School commons on Friday, January 23rd from 6:30-8:30pm. Parents must attend with their children.

We recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time. Tickets may be available at the door if the event has not sold out in advance. Purchase tickets here

Parent volunteers are needed so please consider signing up to help at the event. Parents volunteering at the event get free admission for their students and siblings.

After School Program Chair

Immediate volunteers are urgently needed to help organize and run the PTSA after-school programs that provide valuable educational enrichment opportunities for our students. We are seeking a committed volunteer who can begin working immediately alongside our current coordinator, Manli, and continue through the entire 2026–2027 school year. These programs play an important role in enriching our children’s school experience, and without dedicated volunteers, the PTSA will be unable to offer them. If you are able to help and want to make a meaningful impact on our school community, please email Shannon at sestradaptsa@gmail.com as soon as possible.

PTSA Meeting

The next general PTSA meeting scheduled for January 13th is now moved to Tuesday, January 20th at 7pm. You are welcome to join us in person at the Fernwood library or via Zoom.

In this meeting there will be a bond and levies presentation by the Northshore School District. The goal of the presentation is to educate voters on the importance of passing 3 funding measures in February. These proposed levy and capital bond renewals are critical to supporting essential priorities such as maintaining smaller class sizes, keeping technology and security systems up to date, and modernizing aging school facilities to better serve our students and staff.
