| This Wednesday, April 30th is a Full Day of School |
Because Northshore schools were closed for weather-related issues for a number of days this winter, we have not met our state-required instructional hours. This means that instructional hours will need to be made up on two Wednesdays that were previously scheduled to be Early Release Wednesdays: April 30 and May 7. These three days – April 30, May 7 and June 18 – are now full days of school. Revised calendars can be found here on the district website.
Parent Input Form
As we head into April, we continue to think about providing a strong finish to the 2025-26 school year. In addition, we begin to look to the future. You may have started to envision the 2025-26 school year for your child. At Fernwood, our goal is to ensure that all Fernwood students have an equal opportunity for a positive and strong educational experience. We recognize that balanced classrooms are a key step in achieving this goal. We are providing this parent input form for you as an opportunity to share any specific learning needs, strengths, or conditions you would like considered in the 2025-26 classroom alignment process. Our staff across the school closely collaborate to consider any information you provide as well as our knowledge of our child within the school setting to carefully determine placement. Please see the form for more specifics. All forms are due by Friday, May 2nd.

| Update: Last Day of School is June 20, 2025 |
Northshore's updated last day of school for K-11th grade students is Friday, June 20, which will be a partial day. Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18 will be full days of school. As a reminder, June 19 is a holiday (Juneteenth), and schools are closed. Dismissal times for the last day of school, June 20, are listed on Start and Dismissal Times webpage. Fernwood's dismissal on June 20th will be at 11:50am

2024-25 Golden Acorn and Educator of the Year Awards
Each school year, the PTSA honors individual(s) for their service and advocacy on behalf of children by presenting them with the Educator of the Year (or Outstanding Educator) Award, for staff members, and the Golden Acorn Award, for community leaders. If you would like to nominate someone for one or both of the positions, please use the forms below!
