iReady Challenge Celebration
We will be celebrating students reaching their iReady Challenge goal of 95% participation in math on Wednesday April 23rd! We will have an extra fun recess during students' lunch recesses.
Sister School Concert
Mark your calendars for May 13! The annual Sister Schools concert will again take place in the Northshore Performing Arts Center. There will be performances by the Fernwood Choir, Ukulele Club, and Bad Monkeys. Tickets will go on sale on April 28th. All proceeds go to the Sister Schools Organization.

It’s that time of year—let’s celebrate the amazing team at Fernwood! From May 12–16, we’re going all out for “Camp Fernwood”—because you camp find better teachers and staff anywhere else!
The PTSA needs your help to make this week unforgettable. We’re looking for donations and volunteers to help with daily treats, setup, and even deliveries from our PTSA coffee cart. Let’s show our appreciation in a big way!

We Need Your Help! - 5th Grade Legacy Project
You may have seen some of the incredible 5th grade Legacy projects around the school...
2024 - the sky-is-the-limit cloud tiles
2023 - the tree opposite the FW office entrance
2022 - the butterfly on the wall next to kindergarten foyer ramp
... or the tiles in the cafeteria, the chart above the gym entrance, the wooden poles near the portables.
These projects are meaningful ways our 5th graders leave their mark on the school.
Would you be interested in chairing this year’s Legacy Project? It’s a fun task that is even more enjoyable when done as a team. We are looking for a 5th grade parent volunteer to be the point of contact and help lead this wonderful project.

Each school year, the PTSA honors individual(s) for their service and advocacy on behalf of children by presenting them with the Educator of the Year (or Outstanding Educator) Award, for staff members, and the Golden Acorn Award, for community leaders. If you would like to nominate someone for one or both of the positions, please use the forms below!
