Parent Input Form As we think about providing a strong finish to the 2025-26 school year, we begin to look to the future. You may have started to envision the 2026-27 school year for your child. At Fernwood, our goal is to ensure that all Fernwood students have an equal opportunity for a positive and strong educational experience. We recognize that balanced classrooms are a key step in achieving this goal. We are providing this parent input form for you as an opportunity to share any specific learning needs, strengths, or conditions you would like considered in the 2026-27 classroom alignment process. Our staff across the school closely collaborate to consider any information you provide as well as our knowledge of our child within the school setting to carefully determine placement. Please see the form for more specifics. All forms are due by Friday, May 1st.
SBA Assessments Our statewide assessments (SBA) for students in grades 3-5 will be starting on April 28th. Please plan around these important dates when making appointments or plans for early dismissals needed for your child. Students benefit from taking these assessments at the same time as their classmates in the controlled testing environment that is familiar to them. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring your child gets plenty of sleep, eats a healthy breakfast and is at school ready to do their best. See calendar below for dates of testing.
Kindergarten Enrollment Please share with neighbors and friends in the Fernwood area who may have child ready for kindergarten. Fernwood is open for registration! Early registration enables us to plan for the 2026-27 school and be able to welcome all our new panther cubs!
Lost and Found We have many coats and jackets waiting for their owners to find them! Please stop and check out our lost and found racks if your child is missing a jacket, coat or sweatshirt. We will have them out front for the next few weeks. |

Book Fair This year's Book Fair will be held April 20th through April 24th during school hours
Get ready–the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! Find bestselling series and characters that students love from more than 100 publishers. Plus every purchase benefits our school. Students will go to the Book Fair during their scheduled Library time this week. Parents can only visit the Book Fair during the family night on Tuesday 4/21 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
